What is our PBIS motto?
To be safe, responsible, and respectful.
When walking the hallways do you walk in a straight line one person behind the other, or do you walk next to your best friend?
In a straight line, one behind the other.
What do you turn in as soon as you arrive at school?
A cell phone, if you have one.
When do you get breakfast?
With my class and teacher at 8:35.
When your class is outside are you allowed to leave the fenced in area without permmission?
No, even if it is to get a ball that has gone over the fence, always ask your teacher first.
Is it safe to run in the hallways? If not, give an example of what you should do.
No, you should always walk in the hallways.
If you are waiting to use the restroom or on your peers to finish, what are your hallway expectations?
Stand next to the wall, with hands and feet to self.
Facing the front and with my mouth closed.
Where is the first and only place you go when you arrive at school?
To my classroom.
Keeping my body to myself and staying 3 ft behind the peer in front of me.
When you are outside are you allowed to curse?
No, I still have to use appropriate language.
Is it responsible to bring your behavior slip back to school signed each day?
Yes.
If you witness a fight in the hallway or there is a physical restraint happening, what should you do?
Stay out of the fight and listen to adult instructions.
Walk around the restraint quietly, following adult instructions.
I will not say anything to my peer or about the peer. My mouth is closed, remaining respectful.
Go directly to the classroom and tell your teacher.
If you touch a tray can you give it back and get different food?
No. Once I touch a tray it is mine.
If a peer is agitating you, what should you do?
Choose a coping skill, ask them to stop, go tell a teacher, step away from the peer...
Is it respectful to raise your hand and be called on before you before you speak?
Yes.
Why do we need to walk in a straight line, keep our mouths closed, keep our hands, feet, and objects, to ourselves? Why do we have hallway expectations?
So that each of us can walk around the building and remain safe. There will be less opportunities for miscommunication and peers getting upset with each other. We can get to breakfast and lunch faster (we all need our food!) and we can earn more privileges.
If you arrive to school late, where is the first place you should go?
My classroom.
Can you go back and get milk or anything after you have already been through the line?
No. I need to get everything my first and only time through the line.
If peers are fighting or about to fight outside, what should you do?
Tell the closest teacher and stay out of it.
