Indications include increases levels of GABA. Suppression of seizure activity. Decreased manic episodes.

Education would include:
Reduce caffeine intake. Immediately report any psychotic manifestations.
Avoid stopping the medication abruptly. Avoid OTC cold and decongestant medications. A full response to medication can take up to 6 weeks.
