Upon arriving at a school for an assembly these are the steps you need to take.

What are: confirm time to start and end each assembly, number of assemblies, confirm announcing a goal, ask if principal will be there and pronunciation of name, check in regarding honored hero at school and if she/he is comfortable being recognized or not, confirm setup of powerpoint, sound, microphone and screen. Confirm classroom competiton and announcement of pasta or pizza.  Ask about anything else they would like to announce.
