What am I thinking?
Students "think" with their eyes to guess what the leader is thinking (Adult model examples: looking an watch/what time is it, looking at drink/I'm thirsty, etc.)

Think back to the game we played "Who wants the ball?" What clue did we use to show we were ready to catch the ball? (What did we do with our face/body)
We made eye contact with the person who had the ball to show we were ready to catch it. Bonus points for body orientation!

Why is it important to understand how someone else feels?
You need to understand how someone feels so you can respond the right way. Example: If someone is mad- they might need you to give them space If someone is frustrated- they might need your help If someone is sad- they might need a hug or want to talk to you

Eye contact- you are looking directly at another person's eyes Thinking with your eyes- you are using your eyes to look at another person's facial expression and what another person is looking at to get clues as to what they are thinking about or feeling
