Books are more informative than the internet.
What is opinion?
This Greek philosopher found that in order to be truly persuasive, a speaker or writer needed three things.

A very short story that appeals to your reader and draws them in to your topic.

Many people love animals but are allergic to them! Therefore, they cannot have pets in their homes.

This pillar requires that our audience feels a connection to us as writers or speakers, often through an appeal to sympathy, compassion, anger or joy.
What is pathos?

What is appealing to 'experts'?
Don't bother trying to grow bamboo, it is way too difficult and ugly!
What is bias?
This has a strong claim and two or three supporting details.
What is a thesis statement?
Many people think that tomatoes are vegetables, but they are in fact fruits!

This pillar requires that our words make sense and are organized and clear. Often we reach this by doing research and making sure that we know what we're talking about!

You too can lose weight, be healthier and have all the success you have ever wished for!

The grading policies are unfair! I didn't even pass one marking period!
What is over-simplified/ illogical?
Includes summary of main points, additional opinions or recommendations and lasting impressions
What is the conclusion?
The rational part of a teen's brain isn't fully developed and won't be until age 25 or so.

This is the art of the art of effective or persuasive speaking or writing, especially the use of figures of speech and other compositional techniques.

Animals plants and other humans suffer from your actions. You need to do something about this!
