toxicity can occur with dehydration and low sodium levels
What foods should be avoided when taking MAOI's?
avoid tyramine foods - cause hypertensive crisis (aged cheese, red wines, and fermented meats)
What are the symptoms of serotonin syndrome?
tremors, fever/sweating, mental status changes, diarrhea/nausea, muscle rigidity
what are the side effects of taking a SSRI like fluoxetine?
serotonin syndrome, sexual dysfunction, weight gain, agitation, insomnia (administer in AM)
