What is the relation of the story "The Lottery" and "The Fire" to our phase?

"The Lottery" depicts a sense of “Kill or be killed,” where the village fears the crops will not grow if they don’t perform this sacrifice. The townspeople worry that if they don’t perform this sacrifice, they will not have a good harvest, and they will starve to death, or the bad omens will come for them. However, if they kill a townsperson, this would be prevented. "The Fire" depicts a nuclear bombardment in a Japanese city. This also provides a sense of "Kill or be Killed." It also represents the cruelty of our world and issues other faces in developing countries today.

Why is "Ready or Not" related to our phase of horror?

"Ready or Not" relates to our phase of horror because if she survives, the family perishes by dawn; therefore, they have to kill and sacrifice her, with no exceptions in order to survive. This provides the sense of "Kill or be Killed".

What was discussed for WW2, and how did it relate to our topic?

We discussed the Holocaust and Concentration Camps. Furthermore, we discussed how the Concentration Camps would use forced labour, starvation, and mass extermination to kill off Jewish individuals due to discrimination. This was also a cruel and brutal part of history. This further depicts how the world was completely unjust and possessed unfortunate aspects of horror. It also provided the sense of "Kill or be Killed".
