What is sound? What is it made of? How is it created?
Sound is made of waves of vibrations passing through a medium (solids, liquids, gasses etc.) Sound is created when objects vibrate and move molecules. (Forces the molecules to collide= chain reaction of waves/vibration)

What are all the colors in the visible spectrum? (Highest to lowest wavelength)
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet

What are the primary colors in the visible spectrum?
Green, blue and red

What is physics? (Definition)
Physics is the study of the nature and the properties of matter and energy. Physics include things in nature.

What does sound travel through faster and why?
Sound travels faster in more dense mediums and slower in less dense mediums. (Opposite of light) Sound travels faster in dense objects because the molecules are close together so vibrations pass through more easily.

What are the wavelengths of light? (Highest to shortest wavelengths)
When the primary colors in the visible spectrum are mixed, what other colors get created? (4 answers)
Green with blue= cyan
Green with red= yellow
Blue with red= magenta
With all the colors mixed= white

What are the parts of a sound wave and what do they represent? Draw a sound and label the parts.
Amplitude= height of wave/volume
Crests= highest point of a wave
Trough= lowest point of a wave
Wavelength= distance between crests or troughs

What does white light consist of? What is used to separate the white light and what is the process?
White light consists of all the colors in the visible spectrum. A prism is used to separate white light by slowing down the light, which changes its direction. This process is called refraction.

What are the 3 types of "objects" and what do they do?
Opaque: objects blocks all the light and doesn't let it pass through
Transparent: object lets light pass through
Translucent: object blocks a little light but lets the rest go through- half opaque, half transparent

What id frequency and what is it measured in? What does higher frequency and lower frequency mean or equal?
Frequency is a measure of how many wavelengths pass by a given time. It is measured in Hertz (Hz).
Higher frequency= more wavelengths= high pitch
Lower frequency= less wavelengths= low pitch

What is refraction, reflection and absorption? (Define all of them)
Refraction: the bending of light, Reflection: the throwing (bouncing) back of light back at the source without being absorbed (mirror), Absorption:the take in or suck in of light without any reflecting of the light

What is a ray diagram? What are the angles found in a ray diagram and what are they? (3 angles) Draw a ray diagram and label the parts and angles.
A ray diagram is a diagram used to show the path that light takes in a situation. the Normal angle is perpendicular to the flat plane or mirror that the light is being reflected on and is 90 degrees. The Incident angle is where the light comes and hits the flat plane or mirror. The Reflected angle is where the light is reflected outward, away from the mirror.

What are oscilloscopes? What are they used for? What do they show?
Oscilloscopes are machines used to measure sound waves and visualize them on a screen. they can show amplitude, wavelength and frequency at a single moment or over time.
