All studio samples AKA finished ware are available for purchase. If the items is not priced, please text Lynn for the price. General rule of thumb is - the price of the bisque plus 1 hour custom artwork.
Do we sell the studio samples?
$8 fee to cover the use of supplies, staff support and firing of a pottery piece.
What is a studio fee?
Your pottery will be ready to pick up one week from the day you paint. Please bring your yellow slip to pick up.
What should all guests be told at check out about picking up their finished pieces?
Stoneware is safe to use in the oven, dishwasher and microwave.
What is an advantage to stoneware vs earthenware?
Beginner, Family, Parent and Child, Deep Dive, Spin It Sampler and Open Studio are all types offered and available for guests or staff to book on our website.
What classes are available for the pottery wheel?
It appears in the glazed surface of fired ware as a network of fine hairline cracks usually caused by microwave or dishwasher use of earthenware. Can also be caused by glaze incompatability or speed cooling.
What is crazing?

What is flux?
Clay must dry to a bone dry state, then be slow fired to bisque form before being ready to glaze. The first firing is a different temperature than the glaze firings.
Why does clay firing take up to 2 weeks?
Writing and line work will appear fuzzy and may "move" during firing.
What will happen if I use writer bottle on my specialty pottery glazes?
Text on clover at checkout. This ensures we have a correct number on file for their finished work and in case we need to look up their order for any reason.
How should guests be given a receipt at checkout?
Given to a guest in the studio that is visibly pregnant AND they or someone in their party has mentioned the pregnancy or baby.
What is a free footprint tile card?
When fired to full maturity the clay is food safe and melted together to create a waterproof surface.
What is vitrification?
Low fire white earthenware, mid fire white stoneware, mid fire brown stoneware, chocolate brown stoneware and red stoneware.
What type of clay bodies do we use in the studio?
Use a pipe cleaner (available at inspiration center) in between each coat.
What should we give to guests painting ANY piece with holes?
Ask for the pick up slip. Ask for the phone number used and check texts. Is it a custom? Is it a party or camp? Is it unpainted clay? Check other bins in case it got put in the wrong place. Check Clover under Customers or Past Order slips
