This organelle contains chlorophyll, allowing photosynthesis to take place.

What is Chloroplasts?

100

The _______ stores nutrients and water, as well as recycling waste.

What is the Vacuoles

100

The "stomach" of a cell breaking down viruses and bacteria, as well as removing dead cells.

What is Lysosomes?

100

This organelle is like a solar panel, embracing the suns rays and converting them into energy.

What is Chloroplasts?

100

The "control panel" of the cell, taking the shape of a sphere

What is the Nucleus?

200

Without this jelly like organelle, molecules within the cell wouldn't be able to move around or cause chemical reactions that help the cell survive. This organelle also fills the inside of a cell, keeping the structure stable.

What is Cytoplasm?

200

The ribosome and ______ work as a team, with the ribosomes producing the protein and the _______ shipping and processing it out.

What is Endoplasmic Reticulum?

200

This organelle acts as a shield for the plant cell, protecting the internal area from bacteria, molecules, toxins, etc.

What is the Cell Membrane?

200

This organelle is like a warehouse / water tank, preserving water, food, and other resources for future usage.

What is Vacuoles?

200

A Spherical/oval like organelle with a generally small frame. It is filled with acidic fluids.

What is Lysosomes?

300

Without this organelle, the cell would lose its protective barrier, causing many unwanted bacteria and molecules to enter and leave, potentially destroying the cell.

What is Cell Membrane?

300

The ___________ is responsible for generating energy for the entire cell. This organelle prodcues energy by consuming nutrients.

What is the mitochondria?

300

This organelle organizes all the proteins and lipids to the right destination, as well as contributing towards modifying any harmful bacteria and molecules that enter the cell.

What is Golgi Apparatus?

300

The "power plant" of the city, taking in nutrients and converting them into ATP ( Adenosine Triphosphate ). ATP is a molecule that carries energy between cells.

What is Mitochondria?

300

A sturdy and rigid layer, protecting the cell from external harm and keeps the cells internal structure in place. This organelle is rectangular/cubic.

What is the Cell Wall?

400

Without this group of tiny organelles, the cell would not be able produce proteins that repair the cell and allow it to grow. These organelles can also be found working with another part of the cell.

What is ribosomes?

400

The ________ is found inside the nucleus and is responsible for creating ribosomes and rRNA. rRNA gives the ribosomes the proper instructions in order to create protein.

What is the Nucleolus?

400

This organelle is known as the "powerhouse" of a plant cell as it is the main energy generator for the whole cell. This organelle absorbs and consumes nutrients in exchange for ATP ( Adenosine Triphosphate ). ATP is the main form of energy, cells use to survive.

What is Mitochondria?

400

This organelle is the "security guard" or "gate" of a cell, only allowing certain molecules, nutrients, and water in. If any harmful toxins, molecules, etc. try entering the cell, this "security guard" would deny their access and protect the cell.

What is the Cell Membrane?

400

This slimy jelly like organelle keeps the internal structure in place, giving it a distinct water balloon like shape and property.

What is Cytoplasm?

500

Widely considered the most important part of a plant cell, this organelle is the leader of the cell. This organelle stores DNA and genetic materials. The DNA contains the knowledge of every component and without it, the cell would fall in shambles. Removing this organelle from the cell would also result in the cell losing its ability to grow, metabolize, and reproduce. This essentially means the cell wont have the basic components of survival.

What is the Nuclues?

500

The ______  ___________ Is responsible for sorting and organization the packages (proteins and lipids) created by the ribosome and Endoplasmic Reticulum  (ER). This is why this organelle is sometimes referred to as the "post office."

What is the Golgi Apparatus?

500

An small structure found within the nucleus. This organelle is responsible for creating partially functional ribosomes called ribosomals RNA (rRNA), that are unable to produce protein yet. This organelle plants a task in the ribosomals mind to create protein when their ready. This organelle and the cytoplasm work hand in hand with the cytoplasm coming in to fully develop functioning ribosomes that are able to generate protein.

What is the Nucleolus?

500

This organelle acts as the delivery factory within the cell, with workers ( ribosomes ) within it. These workers work in two teams. One side builds protein and the other side detoxifies harmful bacteria, as well as producing lipids. After the shipping department ( Golgi Apparatus ) organizes everything into the right place, some materials are stored while others are used. Every part of this organelle works together, heavily emphasizing the sense of a factory.

What is the Endoplasmic Reticulum?

500

A tiny organelles with multiple components making it up. These tiny little organelles are mainly spherical with some being more rough and dented then others. This organelle can be found floating around the endoplasmic reticulum and cytoplasm.
