What Tier I - Prevention?
The four critical questions of Learning.
What do we want students to know, do, and understand? How will we know when they have learned it? How will we respond when they don't learn? How will we respond when they already know it?
This guides our team to ensure students learn specific targets in a specific time period.
What is a Unit Plan?
A team-developed instrument utilizing the same criteria to measure and improve student learning (SAME day, SAME way).
What is a Common Formative Assessment?
Some students will need foundational support of previous grade level skills.
What is Tier 3 - Remediation?
These guide both our school and our teams behaviors so we will reach our mission.
What are collective commitments?
A hierarchy that ensures that the rigor and relevance of subject material advances from grade to grade.
What is Vertical Alignment?
We hold this within 48hours of giving a Common Formative Assessment.
What is a TEAM Data Meeting?
Students who already know it will receive this during Tier 2.
What is extension?
We do this because not one teacher can ensure ALL students learn at high levels AND we ensure ALL students in each grade level learn the SAME essential content at the SAME level of rigor each school year.
