What do SPL and ASPL stand for?

Senior Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader

100

Does every role with "patrol leader" in its name count for leadership requirements as outlined in the Scoutbook? (no looking!)

No1! I don't know how common knowledge this is, but APL does not actually count for leadership requirements!

100

Where is the Troop Guide during scout corners?

He's helping the Bees patrol get requirements signed off. That's most of his job description besides being what is essentially their patrol leader.

100

Does the OA rep have to be in the Order of the Arrow?

Yes, that's hopefully obvious

100

Who is our current Den Chief?

Anthony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

200

What roles should the ASPL be overseeing? (Name the 'important' ones)

Scribe, QM, Troop Guide/Instructor, OA Rep, Outdoor Ethics Guide, Historian/Librarian, Den Chief (They're all important, so I listed all of them!)

200

Does the APL have to wait for the PL to be absent to act as a leadership role?

No! If you wait around for the PL to be absent to take charge, you're not an APL, you're a substitute!

200

What should the Scribe do at every meeting?

Take attendance!

200

What jolly and universally loved action should the Outdoor Ethics Guide carry out at the end of every outing to maintain Leave No Trace compliance?

Police Lines! My favorite!

200

I ran out of question ideas

I was tired whken UI made this as yuo can see by me typing
300

How involved should the SPL be during Patrol Corners?

He should be overseeing the PLs with the ASPLs to make sure that everything is running at peak efficiency.

300

Why is PL supposed to be the hardest job in the PLC?

They're the connection between the PLC and Scouts; they're on the ground doing the SPL's 'bidding' and balancing their patrol member's needs with the values of the Troop and PLC while setting a VERY good example for younger scouts.

300

What part of the patrol box does any good QM hate the most?

The flux capacitors; they're heavy, dangerous, expensive, and hard to replace since we lost the time machine back in '85

300

What should the OA rep actively do in the troop?

Encourage Scouts to try and get elected to the OA and encourage Arrowmen to get leadership roles and lead community service

300

Do patrol leaders outrank ASPLs? If not, why?

ASPLs outrank PLs because they help the SPL oversee affairs for the whole troop, not just a patrol.

400

How many meetings/outings should the SPL attend?

Ideally all of them, but the bare minimum is 60%

400

How many terms did I serve as APL before becoming a Patrol leader back in Troop 356?

3 LONG, LONG terms. It taught me a lot, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone above 2nd Class

400

What do I kinda want the Scribe to start doing after PLC meetings?

Sending out their notes so that the whole PLC can be informed of all the new stuff

400

What should the Outdoor Ethics Guide know by heart?

The Leave No Trace principles and the Outdoor Code

400

What will the SPL be doing at the start of every meeting?

Having PLs give patrol reports and uniform inspections WITH SCOUTBOOKS INCLUDED!!!

500

Can the SPL remove certain PLC members from office if they don't do what they're supposed to?

After extensive coaching and guidance, the SPL can change who has what role. This essentially must happen with SM approval and must be a last-resort option.

500

What do I REALLY want the PLs to start doing during this term and every term after?

Host patrol meetings! Not like mini troop meetings, you can go do anything! Mini golf, ziplining, Main Event, dinner somewhere; be creative!

500

What can the QM do to cause a huge inconvenience for the troop/adult leaders?

Lose important equipment (ex. propane stove, Dutch oven, etc.)

500

Should we give Tanner the role of SPF SPL as a reward for his diligence in the field of sunscreen application?

The thought does cross my mind, but as sunscreen is lethal if skin contact is made, I must veto this idea.

500

What's the difference between the Historian and Librarian?

Historian takes pictures and creates photo presentations while librarian maintains troop MB books and directs Scouts to MB counselors
