An agreement reached by the European Commission, Council and Parliament that provides data security for personal and corporate information throughout the European Union
What is GDPR or general data protection regulation?
The processes that work together to enable and support IT service provisioning and are the entirety of activities that are performed by an organization to design, plan, deliver, operate and control information technology (IT) services offered to customers
What is ITSM or IT Service Management?
Breaks project into chunks to buckets to granules making it more manageable. It helps prevent changes and provides a basis for estimating staff, cost and time.
What is WBS or work breakdown structure? And what are the benefits?
Duties include holding overall accountability for the project, providing resources, securing budget, resolving issues, and communicating with stakeholders.
What does a sponsor do for a project?
A communications center that provides a single point of contact (SPOC) between a company and its customers, employees and business partners
What is service desk?
A methodology that involves the client or end user in the design or development of a system for a succession of collaborative workshops
What is JAD or joint application development?
A federal law that established sweeping auditing and financial regulations for public companies
What is SOX?
One covers the project in its entirety while the other focuses on a smaller part of a project.
How is a WBS different from a Project Plan?
By determining who is affected by the outcome of the project.
How do you identify a stakeholder?
Project organizational structure in which the project manager shares responsibility with the functional managers to assign priorities and direct the work of individuals assigned to the project
What is Matrix organization?
The set of policies, regulations, functions, processes, procedures and responsibilities that define the establishment, management and control of projects, programs and portfolios
What is Governance?
Measurable value that demonstrates how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives
What are KPI's or key performance indicators?
A sequence of steps to apply change management to ensure project meets intended outcomes.
What is the change management process?
People or organizations who are actively involved in the project or whose interests may be positively or negatively affected by the performance or completion of the project.
What are stakeholders?
Traditional, functional or line management in which areas and sub areas of expertise are created and staffed with human resources
What is Hierarchy?
Information security standard for organizations that handle branded credit card transactions
What is PCI-DSS or payment card industry data security standard?
An individual, group, or organization, who may affect, be affected by, or perceive itself to be affected by a decision, activity, or outcome of a project
What is a stakeholder?
A meeting that delivers support to management, approves requested changes, and prioritizes changes.
What is a CAB meeting?
Communicating and understanding what motivates them and what it will take to make the project a success. At the beginning of a project.
