This occurs when the beginning sound of a word is repeated in the words that follow.

This uses words that help readers see by creating pictures or images in their mind [all five senses].

Lines of a poem with words that rhyme at the end of the line.
End Rhyme
A poem that has five lines. Lines 1,2 and 5 rhyme and uses eight words while lines 3 and 4 rhyme using five words.

The pattern of lines that rhyme in a poem. Example AABBAABBAABB

This compares things that are different in all ways except one way.
What is metaphor
Using symbols to represent ideas different from their real meaning.
What is Symbolism
The sound of language. It is saying something in a way so as to make a poem more effective and to make more impact.
Figurative Language
A special five line poem that uses adjectives, verbs, and nouns describing a topic.
What is a Cinquain Poem
A group of lines in poetry with no blank lines in between. These are like paragraph in writing.
