Comparing a common thing to another may help the reader to imagine the thing the author is trying to describe. Saying as tall as a giraffe when describing a tall person is probably better than just saying a tall person.
A common metaphor that describes a person with a selfish heart. Uses an adjective that is usually used to describe a specific type of weather but instead describes the heart.

What is the use of alliteration?
Alliteration is used because firstly it grabs the attention of the reader. Secondly, alliteration makes the phrase the reader reads memorable, that's why it is commonly used in advertisements as a mode of persuasion

You may have noticed that Busy and Bee start with the same letter "B" which makes the phrase have alliteration it making memorable. Despite the countless other animals that could be used for this simile Bees are used as they make the similie memorable.
