A line break that occurs mid-clause. This term literally means "to straddle".

A device that compares two things that are so unlikely or unusual they usually aren't compared

A stop or pause in a line, often marked by punctuation

Type of poem made up of three quatrains and a couplet
What is a Shakespearean sonnet?
A drastic shift in thought, argument, or emotion at the end of a Shakespearean sonnet
