What rights do parents have to FERPA?
We cannot discuss anything related to the student without the student signing a consent form. (This includes boyfriends/girlfriends/spouses)
You notice that a resident's room is extremely messy when you walk in during a Health and Safety check. What do you do?
Fill out the Health and Safety audit form and leave it in the room in a visible spot. Make a note that you will be back to check the room in 24-48 hours. FOLLOW UP. Take pictures.
You are sitting at the desk and you notice someone coming into the building who you know does not live there. What should you do?
Obtain as much information from the individual (get Mane card/driver's license/any other type of identification) and contact SRA

Traditional: alarm bell located in hall lobby
Clusters: Air horn located in trap closet
ML/OL: Intercom warning located in the basement mechanical closets
You get a call on the duty phone and someone informs you that students are planning to have a party (with alcohol) on your floor this Friday night. What do you do?
Obtain as much information as possible beforehand. Do an extra round during the time when the party is supposed to happen. Be extra vigilant while on-call.
A parent calls your personal phone asking about the location of their student. What should you tell them?
Tell them that you will try and contact their student and have them call their parent, but you cannot disclose any information about the student due for confidentiality reasons.
You are conducting Health and Safeties and you see a substance that appears to be marijuana sitting out in the open. There are no residents in the room. What do you do?
Take pictures. One person call SRA, one person call UNA PD. Stay close to the area, but DO NOT put yourself in danger!
You come across two people fighting in the lobby. Who do you call?
