Yes- guest stickers are available from the hallway coordinator. All visitors must be ok'd by the staff.
Can 1 volunteer be left in a room with 1 child
No- there should always be 2 volunteers in a room whenever their are children present.

FALSE- no volunteer should ever be alone with a child in the bathroom- there should always be 2 volunteers present and no volunteer should ever be in a stall with a child alone
Where do you go in the event of an evacuation?
2's-5th graders exit the exterior doors by Deereco road and walk around to the back of the building and regroup with their class... with groups in order from 2's nearest to Deereco Rd and 5th grade the farthest from Deereco road
What part of the room should you gather the children during a lockdown?
Gather them away from windows and doors, where they can not be seen from the hallway
Come in the entrance door
Find their child and walk them to wait in line for the exit door
Hand their sticker to the volunteer at the exit door to match with the child's ticket
Or for nursery thru 3's- to stand at the door and ask for the child by name and present their matching sticker before the child is handed over to the parent
Is it ok for children to run in the classroom
No- walking feet only

Get on their level and ask them what they heard you say and Kindly but firmly remind them of the rules and ask them to follow directions
If a child soils himself, what should you do?
Call for the hallway coordinator. If the hallway coordinator and 1 other volunteer is able to assist in cleaning the child up they can do this together. There are extra clothes available under the hallway counter for ages 2-4 years old. Clothes can be rinsed and placed in a baggie for the parents.
Explain the process of pick up for parents picking up children from the backyard from an evacuation
1. All children must be accounted for in their particular age grouping before any children can be released to a parent
2. Staff must give the ok before any children get released to parents
3. Security tags should still be checked and if someone is missing their tag notify staff and allow staff to handle releasing the child to their parent once identification has been confirmed
Only open a door for a staff member or the police... ask for verification under the door. Verification can be a license or name badge
What do the *** mean on a childs sticker?
What is the process with dealing with a child who repeatedly does not follow classroom rules/ directions
Discuss the issue with the classroom coordinator
CC and volunteer should then discuss what you are observing with the staff overseer for that area
Staff will advise next step of the process
