Things we do in the summer
This is what we call cooking outdoors on a grill. We can invite family and friends.
What is a barbecue or cook out?
This fruit is small and grows on a vine. They come in green, purple, or red.
What are grapes?
This guy has a mustache. He has a brother named Luigi.
Who is Mario?
This vegetable is green, and looks like small trees. You can cook it, and eat it many different ways. It's good with cheese!
What is broccoli?
These are small and round. They are best when dipped into a glass of milk. They can be made with chocolate chips, oatmeal, or peanut butter. YUUMMM
What are cookies?
This is a place we can make sand castles, or go in the water on a hot day.
What is the beach?
This is a round fruit. It is juicy--we drink its juice in the morning. It's name is the same as its color.
What is an orange?
When you play this game, you build things. It's almost like using Legos in a video game.
What is minecraft?
This vegetable is usually brown, although they can come in red and purple too! They grow underground. You can eat them in many ways, baked, mashed, or as french fries.
What is a potato?
This is a sweet, creamy, cold treat. You can put it in a cone, and put sprinkles on top. Or you can eat it out of a bowl.
What is ice cream?
This is a large container of water we can go in to keep cool. Some people have them in their backyards! Or, you can go to a public one.
What is a pool?
This is a long, yellow fruit. It grows on trees. You have to peel it before you can eat it.
What is a banana?
This game has a hedgehog, who is pretty fast.
What is Sonic?
This vegetable can be white, yellow, or red. They spice up many different meals. You can put them in a salad, or make them into rings. You may cry when you cut them.
What is an onion?
This dessert comes different colors. Your mom or dad can make it, or you can buy it in containers. It is made of gelatin, and wiggles when you put your spoon in it. Try it with whipped cream on top!
What is jello?
This is something we can do with water to keep cool. A grown up attaches it to a hose, and we can jump in it and over it. Some playgrounds have them as well.
What is a sprinkler?
These are small, round berries. They are blue/purple. You can put them in a pie or in muffins.
What are blueberries?
This game has many different characters, like friendly monsters. You can even play it on the go!
What is Pokemon?
This vegetable is usually orange (but I've seen them in purple and white also!) They are long, and have leaves growing out of the top. You can cut them into sticks and eat them as a snack. Bunnies love them.
What is a carrot?
These are little cakes, with frosting and sprinkles on top. We usually have them at birthday parties.
What are cupcakes?
Since the weather is warm, some people like to go to other places to have fun. They pack a suitcase and take a car or plane. They may stay in a hotel or at a family member's house.
What is a vacation?
This fruit is juicy. It has a very rough peel, which you have to cut off before you eat it. It has thick leaves on top. The inside is yellow.
What is a pineapple?
This is a video game you play by watching people dance, then dancing like them. We play it in school!
What is Let's Dance?
This vegetable is not a vegetable at all! It is red, and we make spaghetti sauce and ketchup out of it. (We think of it as a vegetable because it is not sweet, like a fruit) But it really is a fruit, because it contains seeds.
What is a tomato?
This dessert comes in a pan. It usually contains fruit, like apples or blueberries. It has a top and bottom crust. It is great with some vanilla ice cream on top.
