How does a bill become a law? Describe all the steps of the process.

  • A draft is introduced in the House of Commons

  • It is studied, debated, and amended  by the House of Commons. And they VOTE

  • If it passes, it is sent to the senate to be studies, revised and amended

  • If amendments are made, it is sent back to the house of commons and the process is repeated

  • When a bill is passed through, it is signed by the governor general and given royal assent. Then the bill is a law.
