hoods attached to jackets, rain gear, etc are not designed to be worn under a hard hat.

incidental personnel traversing through posted hazardous noise areas will wear a minimum of single hearing protection.

do face shields take place of primary EP?

face shields do not take palce of primary EP. they are secondary that must be work over goggles or safety glasses when face protection is required to guard against splashes or flying particles. 

full faced respirators do NOT require safety glasses.

why doe we use antivibe gloves? what are some heath effects we are trying to mitigate?

Vibration tools can cause poor blood circulation in hands, which can result in numbness in fingers, cold hands and eventually white finger syndrome and carpal tunnel syndrome.

what can go on the outside of your hard hat?

only central tool (shop 06) is authorized to have hard hats painted by the paint shop, according to the manufacturer's formulation.

how to store respirators

clean, resealable plastic bags, cartons, or carrying cases between each use. the area selected for storage will not be exposed to dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, or damaging chemicals, or located where subject to punctures. WORKERS will ensure their respirators are properly stored when not in use.
