This is what design should be checking before the launch of a site...
What is
I. General
All pages have sufficient content. If not, use Practis standard.
Review images for appropriate alt text.
Check for page speed issues (
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/)
Check for broken links (
http://www.brokenlinkcheck.com/).
Review website meta title:
Home page : Practice name | location
Interior pages : Page title | location
Ensure all edits provided by staff are complete or addressed
Review Jetpack modules (check wordpress installation doc for the correct ones)
Enable WP Smush on all image sizes
Send Go Live Task to Dev
Double check that the go live person (dev) put in the correct robots.txt and unchecked “discourage search engines from indexing” box under settings > reading.
II. Clean Up
Clean up and organize xdrive folder
Export the site content and theme options and place them in the backup folder on xdrive
Clean Up LastPass (mark that it went live) and Accelo
If it’s a redesign, make sure that any old CMS information is cleaned up/removed from surreal
III. Email
Email Staff that the site is now live!!!
Email Client Welcome Kit
Screenshot the email of the welcome kit sent to the client and save to “_pm” folder in xdrive
IV. Complete
