(Needs 5 to gain points)
Founded in 2006, we’re celebrating our 20th year!
Cougar Tech is made up of two neighboring districts, R-H and HF-L.
Our Community and Outreach consists of over 20 events and over 1000 participation hours.
Our candy shooting parade bots are the highlight of our events and help get younger kids interested in STEAM and FIRST.
We also participate in many volunteer events, including park cleanups, Lego camps, and fundraisers.
Our website, cougartech.org, includes training handbooks and videos on administration, safety, and mechanical, electrical, and computer programming.
We offer financial and mentor support to 2 HF-L FLL teams, the R-H FTC team, and many other after school programs.
Over 98% of our members go to college and 100% take or plan to take college level classes in high school.
Both school districts award our students with varsity letters due to our advocacy with the boards of education.
We utilize social media, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to spread the word of FIRST, and have a combined following of over 2,000.
