What are the 10 points about CougarTech's impact?

  • Founded in 2006, we’re celebrating our 20th year! 

  • Cougar Tech is made up of two neighboring districts, R-H and HF-L. 

  • Our Community and Outreach consists of over 20 events and over 1000 participation hours.

  • Our candy shooting parade bots are the highlight of our events and help get younger kids interested in STEAM and FIRST.

  • We also participate in many volunteer events, including park cleanups, Lego camps, and fundraisers.

  • Our website, cougartech.org, includes training handbooks and videos on administration, safety, and mechanical, electrical, and computer programming.

  • We offer financial and mentor support to 2 HF-L FLL teams, the R-H FTC team, and many other after school programs.

  • Over 98% of our members go to college and 100% take or plan to take college level classes in high school.

  • Both school districts award our students with varsity letters due to our advocacy with the boards of education.

  • We utilize social media, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to spread the word of FIRST, and have a combined following of over 2,000.
