Stage 1: Build Air Pressure. 

1)What does it do? where is the PSI between?

1) you are building air pressure to the governor cut off Between 120 and 140 PSI. 

2) Make sure Both Protection valves are pushed in. (A.P will drop, help build A.P with pressing Accelerator then wait for 'Sneeze'

3) "Mr/Ms Examiner My governor cut off/out @ 125 PSI."

Once done with the air brakes test what should you do before preforming the Service/Parking Brake Test?

1) turn the truck fully on, allow the air pressure to build back up again. 

2) unchock the wheels, store them away and help build the air pressure to the Governor cut off again (wait for the sneeze) then you shall begin the parking/ service brake test.

1) once done performing the service/ parking brake tests what should you do next? 

2) what is another light on the dash you should look for?

3) what do you tell the examiner?

1)turn off your truck and turn it back to the on position, QUICKLY point at your ABS light on your dash then point at the ABS LIGHT on your trailer by pointing at your mirror. [Point at them]

2) Your DEF Signal [point at it]

3) 'My ABS light on the dash [point] and my trailer [point] are properly working and my DEF Signal [point] is properly working.

what should you tell the Examiner about your;  

-mirrors and windshield

-windshield wipers/spray

1) "My windshield and Mirrors are PROPERLY MOUNTED & SECURED, THEY ARE NOT CRACKED BENT OR BROKEN. THEY ARE CLEAN AND CLEAR, FREE OF ANY ABSTRUCTIONS, WITH UNAUTHORIZED STICKERS (w/ the exception of the inspectation sticker) AND MY MIRRORS ARE ADJUSTED TO ME."

2) "My windshield wipers are PROPERLY MOUNTED AND SECURED. THEYRE NOT CRACKED,BENT, OR BROKEN, THEY ARE NOT DRY ROTTED & MY windshield spray IS PROPERLY WORKING"

Stage 2; Applied Pressure. 

1) what do you do to preform this stage?

2) how is it preformed?

1) turn truck off then put in on position, look for applied Pressure gauge. 

2) start by fully depressing the service brake, it will show pressure status, once stabilized, ask examiner to start your 1 min timer. 

3) "Mr/ms Examiner, i did/ did not lose more then 4 PSI in a minute.

Testing TRACTOR PARKING BRAKE

1) how do you start this test?

2) how do you know when the brake is properly working?

3) how do you get to the next step?

1) Neutral, foot on service brake, (release) push in trailer brake (red) when ready put the truck in Drive, foot off brake and on accelerator 

2) when you feel a bounce or tug, that means the Tractor brake is properly working 

3) foot on brake, Neutral, (set) pull out trailer brake (red)

1)what are the 5 light indicators you must point and show to the examinator?

2) 2 things to note while preforming this step?

1) 'My headlight, left, right, highbeams, and 4-way INDICATOR is properly working' [point]

2) Make sure you say INDICATOR after every light. nd make sure your head lights are on before this step.

how do you show the heater and defroster?

1) Crank up the fan speed, put the A.C temp to HEAT and put the heater and defroster setting on. Put your hand infront of A.C VENT. to show examiner. 

- say: ' My heater is working properly' 

2) repeat the same for defroster which is located over the dashboard and show examiner. 

-say; 'My defroster is properly working'

Where are they all located? And what do you tell examiner?

1) Fire Extinguisher: is located behind the Drivers seat (point) it is properly mounted and secured. and is fully charged. 

2) 3 Red Safety Triangles: are located in the red box; under the bunk/ on the right side of the passenger seat between the door. 

3) Spare electrical fuses: are located in the glove box above the drivers seat.

Stage 3: Warning and Buzzer light

1) what is the first step to this stage?

2) at what PSI will the warning light and buzzer come on? 

3) what do you tell the Examiner?

1)you will be pumping the service brake till the warning light and buzzer come on.

2) they will come on AT or BEFORE 55 PSI.

3) "Mr/Ms Examiner my warning light and buzzer came on AT or BEFORE 55 PSI.

testing TRAILER PARKING BRAKE

1) how do you start test?

2) how do you know its working? 

3) how do you move to the next step?

1) foot on brake, push in (release) tractor parking brake, switch to drive, and do a tug test. 

2) when you feel a slight tug that indicates the TRAILER parking brake is properly working. 

3) set (pull) both (red and yellow) protection valves, foot on brake and Neutral.

what do you say and do for the horn test? and how many horns are there? 

1) there are 2 horns; City Horn & Air Horn.

Ex: you show the Examiner and say: 

'My city Horn, My Air Horn is properly Working.'

Stage 4: Valve pop

1) what is the first step?

2) what Psi will this happen?

3) what do you say? 

1) simply continue pumping the service brake until both parking valves (red and Yellow) pop out. 

2) this will happen between 20&45 PSI

3) "Mr/Ms Examiner my last protection valve pop out between 20 & 35 PSI"

Testing SERVICE Parking brake

1) how do you start this step

2) what are some important details to note for you and the examiner?

3)what do you tell Examiner when your done? 

1) push in both TRACTOR & TRAILER (R&Y)valves, foot is on service brake and truck in Neutral. 

2) Make sure your wheels are straight, once done inform examiner: 'i am going to pull forward up to 5 mph and im going to come to a complete stop to ensure the truck doesn't pull to the L or R' *MAKE SURE HANDS ARE AT 10 & 2*

3) BEFORE REVERSING, "the truck did not pull to the L or R, we came to a complete stop indicating that my SERVICE brake is properly working."

Once you reverse back to your starting position, what must you make sure that you do?

IMPORTANT:
PUT THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL AND SET THE PARKING BRAKES

[ it is an automatic fail if you do not put the trucks brakes on]

What is the most important thing not to do when you are done with the IN-CABIN inspection?

NEVER SAY 

"this completes/concludes" 

AT THE END OF THE INCABE OR ANY PRETRIP INSPECTIONS. if you miss something then you will not have an opportunity to fix or catch what you have missed during THIS OR ANY inspection.
