Students will work in these everyday during class, reinforcing the idea that math is a language learned best through communication.
What are (randomly assigned) groups?
This is the total percentage of a student's trimester grade influenced by Formative (quizzes) and Summative (tests) assessments.
What is 90%?

This is the number of markers that a group will use to work through a problem set.

This is the amount of notice a student must give Mr. Cepo if they cannot use their extra time on the day of the assessment.
What is 3 days?
CYUs count as a Process grade, which accounts for this percent of a student's final grade.
What is 10%?
This member of a group is prohibited from holding the group's shared problem set at any time.
Who is the scribe/the person at the board?
These are three (3) of the five things that a student should bring every day to class.
What are (any 3 of):
1. folder for math
2. notebook for math
3. pencil or erasable pen
4. scientific calculator
5. charged laptop*
These are the 3 conditions necessary for a student to be eligible for a quiz or test retake.
What are:
1. 5/5s on all group work grades.
2. No missing assignments on the day of the test.
3. Attends a session of extra help with Mr. Cepo
This is the grade that a student receives for a CYU if they don't submit it by the day of the test.
What is the grade they earn on the test?
Occasionally, Mr. Cepo will evaluate each student's group work performance for a Process grade out of this amount of points.
