What are the baby building nutrients in pregnancy?
The hormone prolactin causes an increase production of this "liquid gold" during pregnancy and afterbirth.
What is colostrum?
This liquid contains over 200 components, including growth factors, antibodies, and hormones. It provides baby with all the nutrients and water no matter the climate or season. It changes in flavour and is custom made for each baby at each stage of development.

What is true labour?
Helps the uterus return to normal size and shape, reduces risk of SIDs, protects mom from breast cancer, ovarian cancer and diabetes, easy on the budget and environment, and protects against ear, stomach and respiratory infections.
What are the benefits to breastfeeding?
This injection is given to newborns to help stimulate the blood clotting factor.
What is a Vitamin K injection?
The organ that is connected to baby and brings oxygen and nutrients to the baby and removes waste products from baby
What is the placenta?
A condition that results from exposure to alcohol during pregnancy. This condition can cause problems with brain and growth development.
This fluid is usually clear but occasionally may look pink due to bleeding caused by changes in the cervix. If this fluid is green or bright red you should call 911 or go to the hospital immediately.

What are early cues that baby is hungry?
Avoid the use of soft pillows, comforters, stuffed toys, and bumper pads in the baby's crib. Place crib away from windows, curtains, blind cords, lamps and extension cords and do not hang photos over the crib.
