How does time based debt recovery work?

Time based debt recovery is when a customer has fallen behind on the weekly repayment rate. This causes the meter to collect the debt back in a different way to normal.If the customer has a credit it will come off there credit on the meter. If there is no credit on the meter the debt collection will be placed on the owed screen and the customer will need to pay the full amount of debt collection missed in one payment.


For example - 0 on meter - debt repayment rate £5 P/W customer does not top up for 3 weeks, how much would be on the owed screen? What is it?

What's wrong: Cold weather or zero credit has caused valves in your gas meter to shut, or your meter to run out completely.
