The servants think its laughable that the king could do without the services he gets. I don't think they think he can do things on his own, nor should be. None of them had ever heard of such a decision before. It has always been excess not cut backs.

Smaller stitches are better than larger ones because they are tighter and more secure. In our culture bigger is better with houses, TVs, and internet connection
