The probability of picking a blue gum ball would be 5/15.

Ms. Batko planted some seeds. 5/6 vegetable seeds started to sprout and 2/4 flower seeds started to sprout. What is the fraction of the seeds that did NOT sprout in total (all together).
6 - 5= 1 and 4 - 2 = 2 1 + 2 = 3 which is how many did not sprout.
The total amount of seeds is 6 + 4 = 10.
Therefore 3/10 did not sprout.
