What is a description of a random phenomenon in the language of mathematics called?

Probability model

100

What is the mathematical definition of the set of all possible outcomes?

It is called the sample size.

100

What is conditional probabilty?

Answers can vary

Conditional probability is when you conditionally add new restrictions on the outcome of an experiment causing a conditional percentage.

In BHS a class contains 100 students; 70 of them like mathematics, 60 like physics, and 40 like both. If a student is chosen at random, Create a Venn diagram and find the probability that they like math but not physics.

The probability of someone that likes math but not physics is 0.3.

What is an example of a probability model and an example of it?

First, a probability model is a description that has two parts, a list of possible outcomes and a probability for each outcome. An example would be when you flip a coin the list of outcomes would be heads and tails and the probability of each outcome would be 50 percent as it is a fair coin with each side having an equal chance of being landed on.

The 76ers arena contains 6 blue balls and two red balls for their team practices. A ball is chosen at random by players and then replaced whereas the second ball is randomly chosen as well. What is the probability that exactly one of the balls is red?

The probability of exactly one ball being red is 3/8

A YouTuber is hosting a basketball trivia game. You are assigned to shoot a shot. There are 3 outcomes of your shot a swish which is 0.3, and bank shot which is 0.5, and an air ball which is 0.2. Whatever the outcome is you have to go to the bag labeled with the outcome and chose a prize Bag A (swish) being a 0.2 chance at a prize, bag b (bank shot) being a 0.1 chance at a prize, and bag c(airball) being a 0.5 chance. Find the probability of winnning a prize and a player that hits a bank-shot and wins the prize

The probability of winning a prize is 0.21. And hitting a bank shot and winning a prize is 0.286.
