To practice what to do in a fire or other emergency.

Why is 7th grade one of your most important years?

7th grade is the year that high schools consider.

Late work is always accepted, but will not receive full credit. Turning work in on time is IMPORTANT!

Exit in the stairwell by the gym, turn RIGHT, and follow Ms. Halcom to the alley between Lawrence and 5th.

How do I know what is happening in class and what my homework is?

The agenda is always on the board near the door. 

Homework and announcements are posted in the top right corner of the same board.


NOTE: If you come in late, it is YOUR responsibility to check the board and quietly check in with a classmate to get on track.

I don't like my grade. Can I get extra credit from Ms. Halcom?

No.  Extra credit is not given out by request EVER.

I will offer extra credit occasionally, so take advantage of it when I give it to the WHOLE class.

To show respect, to allow learning in surrounding classrooms and to keep the halls safe.

How do we get downstairs? (think of volume and which side of the hall)

Walk in ONE calm but quick line.

Stay to the RIGHT side of the stair case.

DO NOT run ahead; stay with your teacher.

Where do I turn in work?

Turn it in bin! 


Work goes in the bin whether or not Ms. Halcom is here and whether or not Ms. Halcom asks for it. Turn it in WHEN it is due!

Will there be work during vacations?

Yes.  Often, extra credit

What is the cell phone policy for the WHOLE district?

Turn in your phones to your teacher at the beginning of the day and get it back before you leave.

If I was absent, what should I do?

Get your work from the missing work folders on under the Puerto Rican flag. If you miss a day, you MUST make up the work.

Yes.

1 - get it back from Ms. Chavis at the end of the day

2 - get it back when a parent comes in for it
