You should have a note from your parents. Give the note to Mrs. Wallace with your homework in the morning. Mrs. Wallace will put the note up on one of the hooks near the dismissal area.

You may trade books in your bag when you meet with the teacher, or on Friday mornings after your spelling test. Book bags should have all the books you need for ind. reading for the week.

Hang up your backpack and put away your lunch. Put your homework on the side table. Take down your chair and begin reading or writing.

Get your backpack and lunch, and take them to your seat. Get your mail and put it in your backpack at your seat. Clean off the top of your desk, and the floor area around and under your desk. If you have time, tidy the inside of your desk as well. Try to finish before the song is over.

Turn pages gently, don't push them. Carry the book closed. Don't bend a book backwards. Put it away right side up and closed.

Get out your other sharpened pencil. Sharpen the broken one with your sharpener or the table sharpener as soon as you can. Only use the electric sharpener during non-teaching time, and non-quiet work time.
