How do we receive official home school transcripts?
Directly from the student.
Transcripts can be emailed, mailed or uploaded via the application account. Only transcripts added this way.
When can an applicant change their test optional status?
Any time prior to moving to Awaiting Decision status.
Once the application is in the counselor's queue we no longer can process the test optional change request. Request must be made via email.
What is a Plan Code in Campus Solutions?

What is considered an official transcript?
A transcript sent via an electronic clearinghouse or mailed to the Office of Admissions.
What are the test score statuses in Slate?
Self-Reported, Verified, Discrepancy and Cancelled.
Self-reported - applicant submitted
Verified - sent from test agency
Discrepancy - a self-reported test score that did not match the verified test score
Canceled - testing agency has cancelled the test score or the test score is expired
What is a service indicator?
A negative indicator is a hold. A positive indicator could be a variety of different notes on a record (direct deposit is a frequent one)
What checklist status do we not use?
Hide.
Checklist items need to be marked Awaiting, Received or Waived. Any other issues need to be resolved on the contact record.

When does a transcript need to be manually added to Campus Solutions?
When it is a legacy student that does not have an application in Slate.
Must update External Education, release hold (if applicable), update checklist (if applicable) and image.
Can applicants self-report test scores after the application is submitted?
No.
After an application is submitted an applicant will have to send their test scores via the test agency to have them considered in the admission process.
Where can I find enrollment history?
In the Student Service Center (student)
The academics tab will provide multi-semester history.
How do we document communications in Slate?
Using the Slate Connector or logging an Interaction.
BCC the Slate Connector to have emails automatically logged on the timeline. All other communications can be logged as an Interaction.
What actions can an applicant take in their application account?
Update email, cancel application, change term (when available), change major (when available) and upload documents.
What is the difference between Mid-Year Grades and Progress Grades?
Mid-Year Grades are official grades showing either the first semester or first and second trimester of the senior year. Progress grades are unofficial updates grade reports that applicants can submit via their application account.
Do international students need to have ELP scores if they are applying test optional?
Yes, they can self-report on the app.
After admission they will need to have the official scores sent from the testing agency.
What does Matriculation mean and how does it impact a file?
Matriculation means the applicant has accepted the offer of admission, paid their deposit (if applicable) and considered to be attending for the admitted term.
Once an applicant is matriculated we "hand off" the record to the RO.
Where can parent information be located and updated?
On the contact record Profile tab.
Relationships are listed on the far right. Select the parent to update their information.
Where are documents stored for Slate applicants vs legacy applicants?
Slate applicant documents will load in Slate until moved to CS by a automated process. Legacy applicant materials must be imaged and manually added to CS.
When can we waive an undergrad transcript?
Technical/Career/Math centers where the grades appear on the high school transcript. Other domestic high school that show on the current high school transcript with grades.

Where can we see if credit has been given for AP test scores?
In Campus Solutions in the Student Service Center.
Transfer and test credits are listed on the Transfer Credit tab

Where actions such as matriculating, changing majors and withdrawing students occur.
What does a residency status of Pending mean?
The application did not meet the requirements of in-state tuition even though the applicant responded they are a resident of Michigan.
Applicant is notified via email and the RO will perform a review
