Dual relationships

Counseling a co-worker who just had a panic attack at work with a counselor being 150 miles away.

occurs when one state or orgnaization accepts the license or credential of another state or oganization.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA):
A federal law that protects the rights of students' educational records. Information about grades, attendance, disciplinary records, report cards, transcripts, and so forth cannot be given to anyone not specifically listed on a FERPA form that is signed when a student enters a school.

can schedule appointments, helps manage your practice, bookeeping, client sheduling, printing bill statements, and compiling referral services.
CAC (Computer assisted counseling):
Like an asisstant doing the counseling for you. Type in symptoms, questions you. Has been well received since it cuts down time on paperwork, scheduling, and record keeping, but there is a mixed reaction to CAC as some feel it depersonalizes counseling.
