What is a total loss?
A vehicle is declared a "total loss" by an insurance company when the cost to repair it, plus its salvage value, exceeds its actual cash value (ACV) . This type of event must happen for GAP coverage to apply.
What happens to my loan balance? I have GAP Plus.
GAP Plus settles the difference between your primary insurance settlement and your remaining loan balance at the time of loss. May also cover your primary insurance deductible.
ASG Gap Plans
-Platinum: Most comprehensive plan covering all factory-installed vehicle components except those specifically excluded.
-Gold: Includes all components listed in Silver & Engine, Cooling System, Fuel System, Transmission, Steering, Electric & Hybrid Drive, Seals & Gaskets & more.
-Silver: Include all components listed in Copper.
-Copper: Basic coverage plan that covers few vehicle components.
Can I cancel my warranty?
Short Answer: Yes!
If you cancel your VSC within 60 days, you will be issued a full refund through your Credit Union. As long as no claim has been made during that period.
IF a claim has been made or plan has been in your possession for more than 60 days. You will receive a pro rate refund less than $50 cancellation fee.
What does Actual Cash Value (ACV) mean, pertaining to a vehicle?
GAP helps cover the difference between this and the amount owed on a loan. Having any CPI, late charges, late payments will affect the estimated coverage total.
My car wont start & I have to get to my wedding?!
In the event of a covered mechanical breakdown, you are eligible for alternate transportation according to the schedule in contract. Towing & Rental Vehicle! Rental: $40 a day, up to 7 days max.
What will gap insurance “NOT cover?

driving under the influence or fraud
How do I apply for GAP or Warranty?
How many days do I have to submit a GAP Claim?
GAP claims must be submitted within ninety (90) days from the date of loss.

Tire Road Hazard: If your vehicles tires are damaged due to road hazard, you are eligible for repair or replacement throughout the life of the contract.
Can I transfer the warranty if I sell my car?
Yes, you can transfer your warranty.
