Social psychologist who conducted an experiment on obedience. Wanted to see under what conditions would a person obey authority after seeing how the German people killed thousands of Jews. Subjects in the exp. were given the "tutor" role and were told to ask a series of questions to another person. For each answer the other person got wrong, the tutor was told by the authority figure to shock. Each time it got higher in intensity. 65% of all subjects continued to administer shocks.
