What is Disulfiram?
This medication helps with the aversive effects of opiate withdrawal and reduces the euphoria one would feel from the high of opiate use.
What is Methadone?
This medication is used for alcohol AND opioid use. When used for alcohol, this medication blocks the rewarding aspect of drinking.
What is Naltrexone?
This medication helps with withdrawal from opiates, but it's actions are longer lasting than Methadone.
What is Buprenorphine?
This medication affects your glutamate and GABA neurotransmitters and is used for the treatment of alcohol dependence.
What is Acamprosate?
This medication is used for alcohol AND opioid use. When taken for opioids, it triggers withdrawal.
What is Naltrexone?
This medication is used to treat seizures, as well as alcohol problems.
What is Topiramate?
This medication can be administered as a nasal spray or injected. This medication is used to reverse overdose.
What is Narcan/Naloxone
