Pulmonary Hypertension
500
  • PH due to lung disease or hypoxia: Precapillary PH associated with COPD, interstitial lung disease (ILD), or sleep-disordered breathing

  • Chronic thromboembolic PH (CTEPH): Precapillary PH from persistent pulmonary artery obstruction after thromboembolism

  • PH due to left heart disease: Postcapillary PH driven by elevated left-sided filling pressures from heart failure or valvular disease

  • PH with unclear or multifactorial mechanisms: Includes hematologic disorders, sarcoidosis, metabolic diseases, and renal failure

  • Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH): Precapillary PH (mPAP >20 mm Hg, PAWP ≤15 mm Hg, PVR >3 Wood units) due to intrinsic pulmonary vascular disease
