First, hang a calendar on the wall. Next, stand 3 meters away and hold a pencil in front of your nose. Then, look at a number on the calendar, then quickly back at the pencil. Do this exercise several times.
Why does water expand when it freezes?
As water freezes the tiny particles in water move farther apart. Once the particles move apart, the water turns into hard ice and can’t flow or move like water.
What happens during the erosion of beaches?
Waves can wash sand away from between the houses. The water will get closer to the buildings as the beach disappears. Sometimes buildings are washed away.
What is evaporation?
It is when the water vapor rises into the air.
How do people transfer energy to a bicycle?
People use their leg muscles to transfer energy to the bike. They do this by pedaling the bicycle to make it move.
What are the steps to roll your eyes?
First, close your eyes. Next, open them and look up. Then, move your eyes clockwise five times. Last, do this in the opposite direction.

The line needs to be drawn at the top of the water. The bottle should be placed in the freezer upright, and left overnight.
How does cliff erosion happen?
First, waves smash into the bottom of the cliff. Tiny pieces of rock are carried away. Over time, the cliff becomes weak and then it crumbles and falls into the sea.
How are clouds formed?
Clouds are formed when water vapor comes together high in the sky.

How can water freezing cause a big mess?
In winter, pipes under houses can freeze. Since ice is bigger than water, this can cause the pipes to burst! The hole in the pipe lets water out and causes problems.
How do people try and stop erosion? Why?
People work together to build sea walls. They place rocks in the sea to make a wall. When the wave hits a wall, it slows down. Then the waves can't wash the sand away. People do this to protect beaches and buildings.

They are rain, snow, sleet, and hail.
Where can the energy be stored for later use?
The generator can store energy in a battery. This saves it so it can be used later.
