violet's example: I play basketball, this obviously includes physical stuff but the mental and social isn't always obvious. Being on a team requires lots of socializing, whether that be just a regular conversation with teammates or talking on the court in order to win. Mentally basketball helps my concentration, speed, and coordination which all affect your mental health.
