Ion- gain or lose an electron
Isotope-gain or lose a neutron
Why are there constants on an experiment?
To keep the experiment valid to make sure that the outcome is ONLY due to the IV and not any outside influence.

Actinide Series
Which force is responsible for keeping the electrons orbiting in their energy levels? Explain what is occurring?
The electromagnetic force.
There is an attraction between electrons and protons and a repulsion between each electron

Reactivity increases generally
The Paws company developed a new formula of dog food that is supposed to help with mass loss. Their original formula is readily available so they needed to do testing before releasing this new formula in the market. The scientists test 100 male and female french bulldogs (50 each). They tested 25 with the new formula, 25 with the original formula, 25 with their grain free variety, and the last 25 with their isolated protein blend. At the beginning each dog’s mass was recorded and at the end of 6 months their masses were again record. Each owner was told to feed their dogs ½ cup of food 2 times a day to their dogs at 8am and 8pm everyday. What is the IV, DV, Constant, and Control?
IV: Formula of Dog Food
DV: Mass of the dog
Constant: Breed of dog, how much food, how many times a day, etc.
Control: Original formula
