The A’ad were a very strong and large people. They decorated their cities with large pillars and they were built like large pillars. They had arrogance and so Allah (swt) destroyed them to show that it doesn’t matter how strong you are, Allah (swt) is the strongest.

They would compete in wealth, numbers, and children to the point where they would visit the graves and take pride in their past heroes. The grave is a place of reflection but instead they used it as a place of competition
