STU Conversation Essentials
The purpose of this is to determine whether there are any barriers preventing the associate from passing the required test and to gather insights into their training experience, language needs, or other obstacles. It is best held in real-time, as soon as an associate fails their 2nd test attempt.
What is a seek to understand (or STU) conversation?
If the associate fails their final test attempts, confirm with highest Learning member onsite that all attempts are shown as failed in this system

After an STU conversation, partner with this team to have remaining test attempts assigned to the associate
What is the Learning Department?
After an associate expresses hesitation or discomfort driving PIT during training, this discussion must occur to address their concerns.

This strict time limit applies to both the first and second attempts of the PIT Practical exam.

At the NOBA step, when an associate’s PIT failure is tied to specific reasons, this department must join the Area Manager and Learning Leadership to review the incident and determine next actions.

After an STU conversation where an associate continues to voice hesitation or comfortability concerns in PIT Operation, refusing further training on the assigned training, this action is taken by the manager (unless an approved accommodation exists)
