This group is made up of a man and woman united in marriage, together with their children.
What is family?
These people are their children’s primary educators.
Who are parents?
This is a relationship between two or more people brought together for a common reason or purpose.
What is friendship?
The true goal of friendship is not just companionship, but to help each other reach this state of being.
What is Heaven?
A parent’s authority, like that of a good leader, ultimately comes from this source.
Who is God?
Respect in the family doesn’t stop with parents and children, it also includes these other family members.
Who are siblings and other relatives?
Original Justice was lost because of this first sin committed by our first human parents.
What is the Fall (Original Sin)?
During Original Justice, there was harmony between humanity and these two things.
What are creation and God?
When our parents reach the end of their lives, this becomes our responsibility to them.
What is caring for them?
The Church teaches that the human family is meant to reflect this divine community.
What is the Holy Trinity?
God restores our relationship with Him and creation through these sacred signs of grace.
What are the Sacraments?
This friend of Jesus died, and Jesus wept for him even though He could raise him from the dead.
Who is Lazarus?
The family is called the “original cell” of this.

Learning to obey and respect our parents helps us develop this important moral quality.
What is respect for authority?
This word describes the peace and unity humans had with creation, God, and one another before the Fall.
What is harmony?
Proverbs says that this metal is sharpened by itself as "one person sharpens another.”
What is iron?
This kind of respect means showing honor and obedience to one’s parents.
What is filial respect?
This term describes the family as the “first community of faith, hope, and love.”
What is the domestic church?
This term describes the state of human beings before sin entered the world.
What is Original Justice?
Sirach says faithful friends are a sturdy like this.
