The 10 Plagues
This was the very first plague, turning the Nile River into a red liquid.
Dam/Blood
This roasted bone represents the Korban Pesach (Passover sacrifice) brought in the Temple.
Zeroah
This is the body of water that split so the Jewish people could cross on dry land.
Yam Suf/Red Sea
This is the general name for any food that contains leavened grain and is forbidden on Pesach.
Chametz
I was hidden in a basket in the Nile and grew up to lead the Jews out of Egypt.
Moshe
These itchy insects were the third plague and were so small even Pharaoh’s magicians couldn't recreate them.
Lice/Kinim
We dip this vegetable (usually parsley or potato) into salt water.
Karpas
The Jews had to leave Egypt so fast that their bread didn't have time to do this.
Rise
On the night before the Seder, we use a candle and a feather to do this final search.
Bedikat Chametz
I am Moshe's sister who watched over him in the river and led the women in song.
Miriam
This plague brought "fiery ice" down from the sky, ruining the crops.
Hail/Barad
This sweet, brown mixture looks like the bricks and mortar the slaves used in Egypt.
Charoset
For 40 years in the desert, this "bread from heaven" fell to feed the people.
Manna
We drink exactly this many cups of wine (or grape juice) during the Seder.

Aaron

Darkness/Choshech

According to Midrash, this man was the first to jump into the sea before it split.
