What are we doing this summer?
This summer we’re using fun and creative tactics to get politicians on the record (through our microsite!) regarding climate change, affordability, mental health and racial justice, the issues that matter most to the largest voting bloc.
How you could theoretically get 2 sets of videos from outside your riding?
What is the purpose of Votetube + what we hope to accomplish through it?
Votetube will showcase videos that each riding team will collect from their local politicians. We will then distribute these videos to young people where they can compare the party representatives’ positions on young people issues along with information on how to vote and engage their peers in voting.
1. Staff with RDs
2. RDs with CDs from each riding.
3. CDs with each captain within their team.
What are our goals by the end of the campaign?
2 sets of politician videos.
7 active team members
1 media hit
50 survey responses.
What are constituent leads? What is their role/purpose?
They’re folks that will be recruited from neighbouring ridings to take the lead on conducting outreach to politicians in their communities. This will leading to more video submissions from across the country instead of just the ridings we have teams in.
What is the purpose of Megaphone + what we hope to accomplish through it?
Megaphone is Future Majority’s media microsite, which will house videos from our volunteers on the most topicial youth issues of our time.
Each month, Future Majority’s volunteers will engage in a conversation about a different topic of interest (i.e., climate change, student loans, mental health, etc) through a series of videos.
