100
The answer to a multiplication problem
What is a product
100
What is the rule when finding equivalent fractions * MATH WORDS!!
What is whatever you multiply/divide the numerator by you multiple/divide the denominator by or vice versa
100
10, 567
What is ten thousand, five hundred and sixty-seven
100
When do I put commas
What is after every three digits moving from right to left ( the ones and up)
100
10,056 7/9
What is ten thousand fifty-six and seven ninths
200
Dividend
What is the number being divided, the number inside the house, the bigger number
200
Is it 8 divided by 248 or 248 divided by 8.. Why?
248 divided by 8. In 4th grade Math the dividend will always be the bigger number. 8 divided by 248 is a fraction we have yet to learn.
200
103,230
What is one-hundred and three thousand, two-hundred thirty.
200
What is the rule for multiplying fractions by a whole number:
What is multiply the whole number by the numerator of the fraction and the denominator stays the same.
200
200,067. 07
What is two hundred thousand sixty-seven and seven hundredths
300
What is a Divisor
What is the number you are dividing by, the number outside the house, the smaller number in division problems RIGHT now
300
In equivalent fractions why do we need factors?
Factors are used to reduce fractions. A common factor has to be found between the numerator and the denominator in order for us to divide to find the equivalent fraction.
300
345, 005
What is three hundred forty-five thousand, five
300
Why does this work without showing much work: 500 X 4000 = 2,000,000
What is I can multiply 4 times 5 and get 20. I can then add the zeroes. I can do this because both 500 and 4000 are multiples of 10
300
345. 70
What is three hundred forty-five and seventy hundredths
400
What is a quotient
What is the answer to a division problem
400
How do we change the fraction 14/8
We can pull a whole group of 8ths from the fraction( 8/8) Now we have 1 whole and if we subtract 14-8 we will get 6/8 left. The final answer is 1 and 6/8
400
1,209,121
What is one million, two hundred and nine thousand, one hundred twenty-one.
400
How are multiplication and addition alike and subtraction and division? What operations are opposite?
What is multiplication is repeated addition and division is repeated subtraction. Multiplication and division are opposites and subtraction and addition are opposites.
400
435,768 2/100
What is four hundred thirty-five thousand, seven hundred sixty eight and two hundredths
500
Difference between factors and multiples
Factors are numbers multiplied to get a product and multiples are products of factors
500
Why does this work: 5/10 + 4/100 = 54/100
What is 5/10 is = to 50/100. We know this because of rules for equivalent fractions. If I multiply the numerator and denominator in 5/10 by 10 then I will get 50/100.
500
34, 560, 000
What is thirty four million, five hundred and sixty thousand.
500
Why does this work: 63,000,000 divided by 900 = 70,000
What is I can divided 63 by 9 and get 7. I then subtract my zeroes because division is repeated subtraction. The remaining zeroes are the amount I will have in my answer. I can do this because both the dividend and the divisor are multiples of 10.
500
What is the difference between a tenth and a hundredth
What is a tenth is one place value spor from the right of decimal point and a hundredth is two place-value spots to the right of the decimal
