The history of the iPhone began with an inspiration and direction from Steve Jobs. He believed that cell phones were going to become important devices for portable information and multimedia access. As a result, in 2001 Jobs poured Apple’s energies into product development of iTunes software. On September 7, 2005, Apple and Motorola partnered and released the ROKR El, the first cell phone to use iTunes. However, Jobs was unhappy with the design of that phone. He also did not like compromising with a non-Apple designer like Motorola. He wanted to design a phone the way he wanted. Again, Steve Jobs was inspired by a Motorola smartphone product concept that could display photos and videos, as well as access iTunes. Consequently, Apple created the iPhone. On June 29, 2007 the first iPhone was released. That day the cell phone market changed forever.

For some people Christmas and the New Year are very merry times; but for cabmen and cabmen’s horses it is no holiday, though it may be a harvest. There are so many parties, balls, and places of amusement open that the work is hard and often late. Sometimes driver and horse have to wait for hours in the rain or frost, shivering with the cold, while the merry people within are dancing away to the music. Starting a lemonade stand is an easy and fun way for kids to learn about money and business. However, before starting, a little preparation is needed. First step would be to build a lemonade stand or if you prefer to keep it simple, use a rolling cart or side table. Next, create bright lemonade stand signs. Since the price of your lemonade will be on the sign, it’s a good idea to discuss money, pricing, costs, and profits. Afterwards, gather your lemonade making supplies. You will not only need lemonade ingredients but cups, straws, and napkins. Now choose the perfect lemonade recipe because not all lemonade is created equally. It’s worth creating a tasty recipe, so you don’t disappoint your future customers. Also, be sure to sample each batch, so you get the right blend of sweet and sour flavors before you sell it. At this point you are almost ready to set up your stand. Determine your kid friendly pouring method. A large jar with a dispenser nozzle will result in less spilling and will make it easy to grab a cup and pour the lemonade in a jiffy. Last of all, create a money tracking system. A large envelope with a variety of coins to make change for your potential customers. Now you are ready to open for business.

With this, Mrs. Rachel stepped out of the lane into the backyard of Green Gables. Very green and neat and precise was that yard, set about on one side with great patriarchal willows and the other with prim trees. Not a stray stick nor stone was to be seen, for Mrs. Rachel would have seen it if there had been. Privately she was of the opinion that Marilla Cuthbert swept that yard over as often as she swept her house. One could have eaten a meal off the ground without overbrimming the proverbial peck of dirt.

What is the main idea?

Green Gables’ backyard was neat and clean.

The two most iconic DC Comic Superheroes in the world are Superman and Batman. Comic book readers and superhero fans have been asking who would win in an epic battle between them. First, Superman would most definitely win a hand-to-hand combat. His superhuman strength, vision, and speed are literally out of this world. He’s from another planet. Not to mention, he can fly. On the other hand, Batman relies on his intelligence, money and inventiveness. He has numerous specialized suits, indestructible vehicles, and criminal stopping gadgets. He would most sure be prepared by having Superman’s one weakness, kryptonite on hand for the battle. Be that as it may, let’s not forget they are both protecting the human race against villains and evil masterminds. So, who do you think would win? Superman with his boy scout behavior and unwavering values or Batman with his cunning vigilante ways.

DOUBLE JEOPARDY

Is your dog bored? Just like humans, dogs can suffer from boredom. Dogs require a great deal of your attention everyday. Not only do they need to be fed and watered, but they also expect to be mentally challenged, exposed to new things, and exercised with a walk or run. The major issue is that bored dogs develop destructive behaviors and take out their negative energy on things like your furniture. However, there are some creative ways to stimulate your dog’s mind, so they don’t get bored and misbehave. One solution would be to try teaching your dog a new trick. Each training session provides a mental challenge and as a result makes them much less anxious and generally more relaxed. Also, run a few errands with your dog. For instance, take a run to the mailbox, stopover at a friend’s house, or even take your pooch for a spin through the car wash. A variety of new sights and sounds will stimulate your dog’s brain and have them sleeping like a baby later. Lastly, change out their dog toys. Since dogs have a short attention span, keep a bin of toys in a closet. After a few days switch them out, you will notice the excitement over a brand-new toy.

When you are riding a bicycle in traffic, it is important to communicate your intentions with the motorists around you. In other words, you have to tell people where you are going with signals. When you want to turn left, just extend your left arm out horizontally in the direction that you are turning. If you want to turn right, extend your left elbow horizontally, but point your fingers up at the sky. This will make an "L" shape and will let the people around you know that you are turning right. If you are breaking, extend your left elbow in the same way, but point your fingers downward.  Practice these signals and you'll be a considerate, safe cyclist.

What is the main idea of this passage?

For safety and consideration, it is important to communicate your intentions for turning and braking when riding a bicycle around other motorists.
