Text Structures
A text structure is the author's point of view of the story.
What is FALSE?
It gives you the setting and introduces the characters in a story

The narrator is part of the story and is sharing the story from his/her perspective/point of view .

This text structure provides the reader with the things that happen and what were the reasons it happened

As the hikers inched their way to the top of the cliff they heard a large growl and when they turned around they saw a large grizzly bear between them and the path to safety
What is the climax?
Uses the pronouns he, she they , it
What is 3rd Person?
When the audience or the reader knows what will be happening but the character does not.
What is dramatic irony?
She can not decide if she wants to stay in the tower or defy her “mother's” wishes and leave the tower. When she finally decides to leave she is very hesitant and does not know if what her “mother” has told her is true or not.
What is man vs self?
Mr Brown was born on April 1, 1912 and spent his childhood always having jokes played on his birthday. He left his hometown on April 1, 1938 and went to school in Nebraska and then he lived in New York until his death in 1988.
What squence or Chronological text structure?
When the story is starting to build the action and introduce some complications or conflicts with the plot line

Notice that the author has mentioned dried-up grass, grass on the porch, the cracked boards on the house… and then he mentions flames. Do you think a fire might happen in this story? There are many types of fast food restaurants in and around this area. There are those that have mainly burgers and Fries and different types of burgers such as cheeseburgers or quarter pounders. Then there are other fast food restaurants that sell tacos, and burritos and quesadillas. While they are both fast food eateries, they serve different foods, but do serve the same type of drinks, such as coke, sprite and tea.
What is compare and contrast text structure?
This is a character type that we know a lot about from them sharing their thoughts and action AND the character also changes from the beginning of the story to the end
