The events after the climax of a story
What is falling action?
The main character, usually the good guy in a work of literature
What is Protagonist?
Where and when the story takes place
What is Setting?
A character has problem with some sort of nature
What is Person vs Nature?
The main part of any story, which includes the problem, major events, and solution
What is Plot?
The buildup of events and conflicts faced by the characters which leads to the climax
What is rising action?
Character that develops and grows during the coarse of a story
What is Dynamic Character?
The message that is hidden in the story
What is Theme?
A character has a conflict or problem with society - the school, the law, tradition
What is Person vs Society?
The arrangement of a story, consisting of, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
What is Plot line?
The final lying of the story (happily ever after)
What is Resolution?
Usually a minor character because they serve a single purpose in the work. A character who does not change.
What is Flat Character?
A struggle between opposing forces
What is Conflict?
One character in a story has a problem with one or more of the other characters
What is Person vs Person?
A generalization about a person or group based on appearance, ethnicity, age, gender, profession, etc.
What is stereotype?
The point when the conflict will be resolved and the reader finds out if the main character will be successful
What is climax?
Character that shows many different traits - faults as well as virtues.
What is round character?
The feeling that the author creates for the reader
What is Mood?
A person struggles with something within themselves
What is Person vs Self?
What is Exposition?
Is a simplified character who does not change or alter his or her personality over the coarse of a story.
What is Static Character?
The author's attitude toward the subject matter
